Bacon Mac & Cheese

Who doesn’t love Mac & Cheese?  What you may not know is that Macaroni and Cheese is a dish with Italian origins.  The first recorded recipe for a cheesy pasta casserole was found in the 14th century Italian cookbook, Liber de Coquina (which translates roughly to “Book of Kitchen” in Latin).

At Fazoli’s we wanted to take this American (and Italian) classic to the next level.  Our Bacon Mac & Cheese puts a twist on the classic.  We take cavatappi noodles (Italian word for “corkscrew”) and top them with a rich and cheesy Asiago and Parmesan cheese sauce, layer it with more Asiago cheese, and then load it up with crispy bacon.  There’s enough crispy bacon for every bite and the layered in cheese makes sure each bite is extra cheesy.
